Catalyst Finedge was started to do one thing properly: help people in India invest in mutual funds without the process being the hard part.
What we do
We are a mutual fund distributor registered with AMFI. That means we help you select schemes, complete the paperwork correctly, and look after the investment afterwards — the transfers, the mandate changes, the nominee updates, the redemption when you need the money.
It also means something specific about what we are not. We are not registered with SEBI as an investment adviser, so we do not sell advice and we do not charge you for it. We explain options and answer questions; the decision to invest is always yours.
How we are paid
You pay us nothing. We receive a commission from the asset management company whose scheme you invest in, paid out of the scheme's expense ratio.
We would rather say that plainly on the first page you read than have you find it out later. It is the standard arrangement for every mutual fund distributor in India, and knowing it helps you ask better questions — of us and of anyone else you speak to.
